I've never heard of any permit requirements. There are, however stretches of rivers that are not navigable. There may be some lakes that where boating is not allowed as well. I haven't done very much packrafting here in Switzerland yet, with the exception of a trip out on Lake Zug. Mostly because I ...

I've got a windpaddle on order to use with my Feathercraft. I might have to try it out with my Alpaca.

BTW, have you tried setting up some sort of leeboard setup on the packraft? Some bungy cords and a couple of flat pieces of wood might do the trick.

My wife and I did the trip on Lake Zug at the end of September. She actually had the alpaca first as I was paddling my feathercraft to start out with. Sadly we forgot the camera. :( The 'grand canyon' section of the Vorderrhein looks quite interesting. Though it's been many years since I've done any...

Great pictures. So far I've only taken my Alpaca out on Lake Zug. I suppose that was the first packraft voyage there. :-)

The mouth valve on my Alpaca is on the stern of the raft. But I do have a spray deck on it Perhaps that makes a difference?

I'm over on the Zürich side of Switzerland. I'll have my Alpacka soon, but I'll probably just be up for doing easy floats for awhile until I get back into WW shape. It's been quite a few years since I paddled an IK or drove a barge.
