Re: European Packrafting meet-up 2018 registration open !

Hi, max42mtb-

Sorry I will just miss the Euro Packraft Forum this year. However, I will be running the Soca the week of April 14-21. If you have contact info, I will try to look you up while I'm there.
Hae a great forum.

Re: Anfibio Thigh Straps - Any Opinions?

Thanks for posting this info, Mark. I was about to put in 2-point straps, but will have to reconsider and experiment with these. Saw the exellent photos on your instagram showing strap placement. Tasmania looks awesome! (P.S.-Love your border collies!)

Anfibio Thigh Straps - Any Opinions?

Has anyone used or built thigh straps of this type, which are being sold in Germany? They are similar to the "standard" packraft thigh straps, but have a second piece of webbing that runs over the thigh a few inches behind the knee, that pulls the main strap outward, toward the tube, and forms a sor...

Re: Soca River Packrafting - Slovenia

After the week on the Soca, we spent another week traveling in Slovenia - it was all charming. The mountain pass at the upstream end of the Soca is fantastic. The area around Lake Bled is touristy for sure, but there are other lakes and mountains nearby. It's clear Slovenia is benefitting from being...

Re: Wind River Range

Eddie- We have been up to Green River Lakes a couple of times, most recently fall 2015, and I packrafted out to the lakes on the upper stretch of the green in Sept. 2014. Near the origin the water was somewhat milky with glaciel sediment as you would expect. Looking at my photos and video of the one...

Soca River Packrafting - Slovenia

Spent a week in the stunningly beautiful Soča River in mid-July, 2016. The crystal-clear, turquoise-tinted Soča runs down a deep alpine valley in western Slovenia, just a few miles from the Italian and Austrian borders. The scenery is breathtaking and the area is unspoiled, although Euro kayakers fl...

Re: Wind River Range -UPPER GREEN R.

This run is indeed a packrafting classic. Ran it in August, 2014 at about 850 cfs in beautiful weather. No wildlife except for one Moose on the bank. The main challenge on this run is portaging downed trees through very thick brush. I stopped counting at about a dozen, and it wouldn't have been so b...

Re: Anyone up for a paddle in South West UK?

UKexplorer- Don't know if you are still interested in packafting in the West Country, but I will be visiting Devon/Cornwall the last 2 weeks of October, bringing the packraft and hoping to run a few class 2-3 rivers. I am an experienced kayaker from Colorado but have never paddled in the UK. biopharm
