Didn't Really do the Lower Zambezi

I was to scared of the crocs and hippos to do the lower Zambezi river by myself in my new Alpaca Mule. I had visions of being chewed up like bubble gum by these guys and there are plenty of local fishermen throwing nets with one arm or standing on one foot. So I paddled my little raft behind some ot...

Wanted - Another River for the Boyz

Now that we are all over 60, well,... actually way past...

Orange River - Border of Namibia and So Africa

The Orange River from Noordoewer to Aussenkehr is like a ribbon of water on the moon - dry, barren, mountainous, with unworldly and beautiful landscapes. The water is surprisingly clean, but not clear. Local river guides drink it, though I always treated no mater how thirsty. No trouble rafting this...

Off to Zambia Africa

Flying to Lusaka Zambia and traveling around Zambezi, various national parks, etc January 19 - February 30. Would love to bring my new alpacka mule but looking for info as to what I might be able to do with it. I dream of floating past African wildlife down remote rivers but I'm sure it's not that e...
