Re: inexperienced packrafter looking for upper midwest mentor

The RoundUp is a great place to meet other packrafters from all over the place. Registration is open for this year and last year it was a blast! So you should check it out:

Re: First time packraft for one/two people?

I went with my girlfriend and camping gear and food for 2 nights in ONE Kokopelli Renegade on the upper Colorado river from State Bridge to Dotsero. A bunch of class 2 rapids and two class 3 where we could avoid the big holes. It handled very well and carried all our gear. Contact me if you want mor...

Kokopelli Nirvana Self Bailer and Kokopelli Renegade

The Nirvana comes with seat, back rest, inflatable bottom that goes inside the boat and is big enough to be used as a sleeping mat, thigh straps, TZIP storage and straps to keep it tight when rolled. Used once so it's like new. 700$ shipping included. Second boat is a Kokopelli Renegade used but in ...

Re: Kokopelli Packrafts

Hi again, In the meantime, things have changed a bit. I tried an Alpacka Yak (rented) and bough a used Kokopelli Renegade. The Renegade is for sure heavier, but also seems a better build, burly floor and I like the v-shape reinforced connection for the floor. We'll see what happens, see ya'll at the...

Re: American Packrafting Association

While Andrew's idea is expressed quite strongly, I do agree with the bottom line of it. I moved to the US a bit more then a year ago and have been shocked by this fear of liability everywhere. I lived in Romania all my life where these things do not exist. If you trip on a step that is chipped and b...

Re: 2015 Nirvana

Hi SCLpod,

How much was the Nirvana 2015 and was it with or without spray deck and which size?

Are you happy with it? What trips / rivers have you been on it?

Thanks
Adrian

Re: Kokopelli Packrafts

Looks like people are very happy with Kokopelli packrafts. I found a 2015 Nirvana without spray deck, new for 600$ and I am considering to buy it. I have a hard time letting go of the idea of owning an Alpacka, as they seem to be the best of the best and super popular (so a lot of resources for modi...
