Re: Summer 2013 trip to the Bob Marshall in Montana

Hey Dana, If you schedule it over a weekend, I would love to join in. Ive heard you can get flights in for pretty cheap, but I have never done any looking into it. If we can fly or ride part of the way in, Im definitely for it. Look forward to seeing this trip come together, and probably have at lea...

Re: Looking for packrafting friends in Montana

Hey there,
There's a group of us based around Bozeman that do quite a bit of boating. Im actually moving, but will be making regular trips back as I cant replace the rivers around here. If you ever find your way down here, let us know and we can figure something out.

West Coast Road Trip

Hello Packrafters! I am looking for packrafting partners to explore the West Coast with. I am going to be traveling from Montana to Oregon at the beginning of April, and then slowly working my way down to NoCal (SanFran / Napa area) and setting up camp for a few weeks. After that, I will probably go...

Re: Southern Oregon (and far Northern California)

Hello! I am going to be doing a West Coats swing in early to mid-April and would love to get some boating in. I will be in the Napa/San Fran area for much of April. My schedule is really flexible, so if you have any trips in mind I would love to explore the area. I have 3 years experience with proba...

Re: SF Bay Area Packrafters: Let's paddle!

Hey there, I will be coming to Napa/San Fran for a few weeks in April. I'll be taking a class in San Fran during the week, and visiting my sister in Napa over the weekends. I will have my gear and would love to get out. I will be in the area from April 6-April 24 (roughly, maybe longer). Hit me up a...

Re: Naming A Packraft?

Naming your boat is a must, but only once it tells you what it wants to be called. My crew did a boat christening before we set out on our maiden voyage. It included a quick speech and pouring a PBR around the bow of the boat. Google it, read a few descriptions, and come up with your own ceremony is...

Re: Montana Rafters (Class I-IV)

Im glad to see packrafting is starting to take form here in Montana. Some boating is in order, as are some beers to swap stories. Im not familiar with the escalante, but given a week or 2's notice I know most of us are down for a roadtrip there or to Glacier. Let's get something in the works. My sch...

New or Used Dry Suit?

Looking to extend the season a bit, but dont have a grand for a brand new top of the line suit. IF you're thinking about getting a new one, I'd love to purchase your old one (as long as it still does the job).

Re: New Dry Suits For Sale

How well does the Semi-Dry Suit work during cold weather? Im looking to buy one by the end of summer so that I can extend the paddling season, but not sure if Semi-Dry is a smart way to go. Please let me know if you have used this, or similar products. I'll be in the area a week from today!

Re: Partners in Alaska for beginner - intermediate trips

Im coming up there next week for my buddy's wedding, and plan on bring my raft up with me. I'd love to check out the area, but Im not sure what (if any) transportation Im going to have. Ideally, my river days are going to be in/around Anchorage on June 28th and 29th (I take the red eye on the 30th b...

Re: What custom boat mods would you like?

After comparing my Yukon (received a month ago) and my buddies (ordered Dec 2009), I am really impressed with the adjustments to the spray deck. It feels as if I have more room to bend my knees when in calm water. The only problem Im having is getting the spray deck to stay completely enclosed where...

Montana Rafters (Class I-IV)

Me and 2 buddies took our maiden voyage in our Yukon Yaks yesterday on the Gallatin River. It was an amazing trip and we are all very excited for the opportunities these amazing vessels bring for the summer. We think it would be great to expand our clan (the Bobbin' Banditos) and track down some mor...
