Sorry it has been sold. I somewhat regret selling it, but I'll get a packraft with an ISS next

NZ Jan/Feb 2018

I plan to travel to New Zealand in January/February. For part of my visit there I want to organize a packrafting trip(s) or join an already planned packrafting trip(s). Nothing specific yet, so I am open to options. I am experienced, having done numerous wilderness trips either backpacking, paddling...

2016 MRS (Micro Rafting Systems) Alligator 2s

The MRS Alligator 2s is a high quality European brand. Comes with 3 point attachment thigh straps and skirt. Excellent whitewater performer, but also speedy on flat water. Good condition - never had a puncture. Bought for about $1000 USD. Will sell for $800 USD ($1080 CAD). See specs here: https://p...

Re: Anfibio Thigh Straps - Any Opinions?

I own the MRS Aligator 2S, which has an additional thigh strap attachment. It's so effective that I will never go back to a 2 point attachment thigh strap. I modifed my IK (Innova Safari) so that it has the same thing. I position the middle attachment strap to just below my knee, not above it.

Re: Drysuit recommendations?

I have a Stohlquist EZ. I love it and it's cheap (relatively). The neck gasket is so comfortable compared to my old drysuit, and it's a drysuit gasket not a semi-drysuit gasket. I weighed it - about 44 ounces

Re: 5-7 Day Packrafting Trip

I tried the Bakraft Hybrid, and didn't like it that much. The Bakraft Expedition is probably better. I currently own an MRS Alligator 2s. Its design is inbetween an Alpackalypse and Yak. Handles great. I may get a self-bailer one day because they are so easy to re-enter - I like that about them

Packrafters in NY (Western/FingerLakes), PA (northern), and Ontario (Southern/Central)

I'd like to do day/weekend trips this spring to practice class II/III (not into class IV so much) in creeks/rivers in the area. Also, wouldn't it be fun if a group of packrafters showed up at some of the spring whitewater kayak festivals in the area? Last time I went to a whitewater kayak festival I...

Throw Bag - half the price of NRS, and lighter

I have the North Water Micro Throw Line. It's great for the price. Half the price of the NRS light weight throw bag. And lighter.

Anyone want to do the Escalante this spring (April or May)? I'm looking to go with a few other packrafters.

Sheathing/Tyvek Tape - Lower Cost Alternative for Canadians

To all you Canadian packrafters. Tuck Tape is a made-in-Canada sheathing tape - nearly half the cost of Tyvek Tape:
