I dont know of any packraft tour outfits in the u.s. save for packraft/swiftwater rescue schools. Other than that theres the packraft round up but thats definitkey not in january. Im 5'8" and 125 pounds. I have an alpacka scout which i fit in and its relatively comfortable. I also have a ww decked yak and it fits just right. Hey xrayhowe where u guys from? I've never meant another pack rather or for that matter seen a raft I haven't bought. I'm near tawas. What time of year did u run that? I went early April levels were above 250 if memory serves.

The only good white water in the lower but its nice. Ran it this spring for the first time had a blast.

MI upper peninsula sturgeon river gorge

Anyone interested in floating the u.p. sturgeon river gorge wilderness last weekend of April or first weekend of may? I've drawn up a route, 9 miles on the nct and 21 on the river. There's waterfalls and class 2 and 3 ww. I had 3 days planned for it.
