Re: Spring Escalante - Request for Partners

Kara, the river was running 125-250 cfs. I ran the stretch from the "Landfill Road" (just south of Hanksville) to just beyond the bridge over the Dirty Devil near Hite, which is about 75 river miles, in five days. Re: Beginner trips on the Colorado

Well, EddyFlower is also a great resource for UT and AZ, as is the book Whitewater of the Southern Rockies (which covers CO, NM, AZ, UT, WY). I have a copy and it's an awesome reference.

Re: Spring Escalante - Request for Partners

I could be convinced...

I ran the Dirty Devil from Hanksville to Hite earlier this week. I have my eye on several other runs in the state this spring, assuming flows are sufficient.

Re: Suggest some colorado packrafts

How about Gunnison Gorge? TR here: http://www.packrafting.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=687 Youtube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKDBv9Nk9WE It's at 1100 cfs right now. The BLM website (http://www.blm.gov/co/st/en/nca/ggnca/gorgeboatflows.html) suggests it's runnable as low as 300 cf...

Re: Partners for Utah, Colorado this summer

Brandon, I'm off Aug. 11-15. I live in Denver, new packrafter but have some whitewater kayaking experience from a while back. I'm down for a western Colorado or Utah river trip. Email me at justin.baccary[at]gmail[dot]com to discuss.

Re: Denver/FrontRange Packrafters

New Denver area packraft owner here. Avid long distance / ultralight backpacker, not a total noob paddler (used to paddle kayaks some a while back). I have a super flexible work schedule (working only a handful of days in August and September). I'm down for trips of any length and any location. Emai...
