The MItta Mitta - Trip Report
Believe me I always have good intentions of posting a really detailed trip report, but time just seems to escape me! So instead of it being forgotten, here's a short report and video:) Last October myself (Haydn, Melbourne), Michael B (Canberra) & Matt (Eden) took a long weekend and paddled the Big ...

Re: Vanishing Falls, Southwest Tasmania
Thanks John, Sort of off topic, but a co-incidence non the less.... After discovering I had put my pelvis out after a fall boulder hoping in NZ I visited a local therapist - They were telling me about a friends" recent trip in south west tasmania attempting to "find" the vanishing falls. Sounded lik...

Hey Guy's, Myself and Mick B spent 9 days in NZ South Island in late March this year walking & pack rafting. Will attempt to write up a bit of a trip report sometime soon (Mick?:) But for now here's a few videos of the 4 main rivers we hit up. Cheers Haydn. https://vimeo.com/94370391 https://vimeo.c...

Tiedowns & Grab Loops in Australia?
Hey guy's, just wondering if anyone know's where you can get extra tie-downs or grab loops in Australia? (or internationally with reasonable shipping?). Just went to get some through Alpacka and shipping to Australia for a bunch of tie-downs is $50!!!
Thanks Haydn.
Thanks Haydn.

Re: North Queensland Winter Safari!?
Would definitely be interested to float the Tully. Late July, early August seems like a good time to escape winter. The Tully flows all year, other creeks/rivers at that time could be pretty low. Level dependent, you could hike up and float down Cannabullen Creek to Cochable Creek and into the Tully.

Hi Tina, Good to hear we have another packrafter in Melbourne - there's not many of us! There's some good run's around most under grade 3, mostly 2's not to far out of town. Would be happy to organise a few trips, send me a PM.

Re: Tuross River vid from Sunday
Thanks for the vid Steve, looks like a great day! Mick - Bright itself is a little limited, Ovens & Buckland rivers only have a couple of rapids, King River is a great run, with a short section you can run multiple times but it's a bit of a drive from bright. Over the other side of the mountains aro...

Hey Steve, Yeah rod will be packed for a flick - have not done too much saltwater stuff, so see how I go. Never realised how good the rivers are up there for rafting, although having trouble finding anything classed below IV - hence the hope for some local advice:)Fishdejour wrote:You taking a rod Hayden?

Snowy Creek looks awesome Chris, did you run anything on the Big River while you were up there? Where abouts did you guy's start on Jacobs? Did not look like there was much water in there on the recent drive past.
Cheers
