Re: Alpacka Alpackalypse-proto Whitewater Packraft

Not self-bailing, though you can bail it yourself. Ha!

Nope. Snug spray skirt, deck and sealed floor.

Re: The Alpacka Raft Cargo Fly

So far I'd have a hard time not recommending the CargoFly. Meaning, yes, it's worth it. On my first mutli-day trip it was somewhat awkward. But I learned enough that I can probably make the packing smoother in the future. And even if it was a little awkward, it didn't really matter when we were only...

We biked the shuttle on the Kokopelli Trail during the night. C...

Re: Packraft as a bathtub?

Paddled past a warm spring last week, gushing in a little stream off the steep bank side. Didn't dawn upon me until the next day that we could have filled our rafts and soaked in luxury. Dang.

Re: Dirty Devil River trip prep feedback

Was lucky enough to be able to float it last year, end of March, Poison Springs to the reservoir, warm and windy. I think several of us wore trunks and wool t-shirts or similar and were fine. Others seemed to be quite bundled up, no wet suits. But March weather can be about anything, so... My gut fe...
