Re: six mile wood

Ran first and second canyon on Saturday, May 7. As was mentioned, there is one channel wide sweeper/strainer about 300' down from the foot bridge on river right. Clear channel on river left. No wood anywhere else, all the way to the Second Canyon take out. At 9.65' there appeared to be no other prob...

Re: Echo Bend, Eagle River

It goes! Fun, low (LOW) water boating today! Only one log jam early on and a little butt scooting here and there. Enjoy!

Latest Yak with Cruiser Deck For Sale

I'm selling my Yak (I believe it would be called the 2014 model) with the longer stern. It doesn't have the cargo fly, but does have a cruiser deck. It has no holes, no patches and is in great shape. I bought a bigger boat so I don't need this one anymore. I never wanted to take off the cruiser deck...

Re: Drysuit wear from Alpacka Whitewater Skirt

A kokatat gore-tex drysuit. Trust me, it's not the dry-suit's fault. It is limited exclusively to the portion of the suit where it hits the velcro on the spray deck. My hands get kind of beat up on a long float too if I'm not using gloves and paddle aggressively.

Drysuit wear from Alpacka Whitewater Skirt

Am I the only one who has noticed an astonishing amount of wear on the inside forearm of their drysuit from the velcro attachment points on the spray skirt? I probably only have about 10 days on my new boat, but my newish drysuit has seen excessive wear (scuffing, and in one point even the white und...

Re: Curry to Clear Creek

Hey all! Seven friends did this trip this weekend and all agreed that it was incredible. A few notes to help any future travelers: From the quarry entrance, hike up the road until just below the actual quarry. Go down a small embankment on the left into some alders and that is the 4-wheel trail. We ...

Resurrection Creek

Has anyone floated the Res yet this year? I've never done it but want to check it out.
