Just moved to Boise area, any locals?

Hey all, I just moved from SoCal to the Boise area, any locals around here or local meet ups? I was never able to get my buddies into pack rafting in SoCal due to travel time to water (beaches didn't generally allow) or was just a pain and the closest real rivers were 4 plus hours away. Hoping to me...

klamath river might be an option i would think. I have done a rafting trip up there and there looks like there is plenty of opportunity for that. Not sure about shuttle though, you may need to 2 car it or bike it.

Re: Alpacka removable ww deck vs permanent ww deck

Hey all, I just saw this. Love the removable deck and the gnarwhal. I have only had it out a few times due to working too much but here is a link to a video of trip I took last June with it. did some nice flat water paddling as well as some small rapids (no clue on class). as you can see from the vi...

Re: Youtube Videos!

So just got my alpacka gnarwhal and love it!!! Here is a video of its maiden voyage. It's got some camping and fishing in there too. Gorgeous eastern sierras outside of Bridgeport. No clue what class the rapids were but they a blast.

Summer trip recommendations (CA, AZ, NV or UT)

Hey all, trying to get a group of friends to go out on a weekend adventure and get them hooked on pack rafting. Looking for a weekend trip in the SoCal, AZ, NV or UT area with some gorgeous views and great paddling/hiking. Looking for an 'easy trip' to ease them in. None of them have proper packraft...

Re: Alpacka removable ww deck vs permanent ww deck

No, but it was the model before the whitewater decks and sprayskirts. In the old models the decking wrapped around your body. They are significantly better now. Oh got it. Thanks for the insight. You mentioned bike, how did it handle that? I have a full suspension stump jumper and was woundering how...

It sounds like you definitely made the right purchase for your desired use. I loved my old removable deck when I was taking my bike and dog on trips.
Awesome. Did it keep ya relatively dry?

Re: Alpacka removable ww deck vs permanent ww deck

Thanks for the reply... I don't think I'll be rolling my alpacka anytime soon, but wanted to just use that as a frame of reference. I can only afford one boat so I kindda needed a "do it all" boat so I got the removable so when I hike with my daughter she can sit in front of me in high sierra lake t...

Alpacka removable ww deck vs permanent ww deck

Anyone have a experience with both that can give me an idea as to how much "wetter" I will be getting with the removable deck? I jus ordered a gnarwhal with removable deck and was told it's not as dry as the fixed deck. Are we talking a little leakage or will I be sitting in a pool of water?? And if...

Re: 2010 alpaca and llama

Do you still have the alpaca? If so how firm are you on the price? I only ask because the new ones are going for just under 800 bucks. Let me know.
