Those new Balance OTB's seemed great to me as well... until I thrashed them in 3 months; great concept, but too many seams to break. FYI, I am hard on my gear and I use it A LOT! We ran it on the 6/25 (~250 cfs) and 6/26 (~260-280cfs) 3 times from the bridge to the Glenn Hwy, we had 4 portages due to wood. The rain on the 26th made the first part quite the ride. Fun creek, easy shuttle! I look forward to scouting above the bridge!

The canyon was only like a class two when I ran it in the third week of September, 2013 with many tedious braided and shallow channels once you exit the canyon. We could see the high water mark nearly ten feet above us though... It was a relatively straightforward two day walk from the Nabesna road ...

We both now know that walking up the river from Berner's Bay is a bad idea...
