We did that section of the Shoalhaven (to Long Point) back in March at about 0.73m and was just scraping through a lot of it. Your level would be a wild ride!

Hi Platypus, Just to let you know Facebook also has a few packraft groups which may be of use- there is a Sydney/NSW; Tasmania; Victoria and NZ page. I have both yak & lama with cruiser deck- we like this setup as the deck can come off and a kid can be put in :) it also gives some warmth and protect...

We often tow a child in another raft when they get tired or sick of paddling. It actually goes quite well on flat water. Give it a go...

Had another run out at Bents Basin today- river was 0.35m at Wallacia weir so bit up on our previous trips. Lovely day out as usual :) Hubby had a swim- surprisingly I did not!! Packing up we met 2 other packrafters just heading out- hope they had a good paddle...

Had another run at Bents Basin today - level about 0.26m at Wallacia Weir. There were 2 canoes wrapped/pinned in Rapids. the first one was right at the top of the first main rapid. You have probably seen it but there is a new app (& website) which is basically the NSW canoe guide. It has river levels, trip descriptions, maps etc. pretty handy to have and users can make additions.

Went for a paddle on the Wingecaribee river from Berrima the other day. Water level was really low (1.05m) but thought we'd have a go anyway. Had to drag through all the Rapids but scenery was lovely. The plan was to paddle to McArthurs Crossing but after Wallaby Rocks we came to a huge log jam. Man...

Will have to see if I can line up the baby-sitters. Had a little paddle along the Kangaroo River on the w/e- scrapping along at 0.41m- saw the levels this morning at 2.5m :O

Thanks guys! Yes I was a bit tentative especially in the lower part of the gorge especially paddling past a big croc trap. Higher up felt a bit safer.... There were a few others about- I hoped they would be tastier than me!!
