Melbourne CBD lunchtime paddles?

Post by johnopower » Tue Apr 17, 2012 10:01 pm

Howdy crew,

I've just run a first loop of paddling the Yarra and Docklands at lunchtime. From the north bank of the Yarra at Spencer St to Bolte Bridge, and back to Docklands for take out was approx 50min paddle (about 3.5km). I was back at my desk and showered inside 80mins and was greeted with this view heading in to the docklands

I'm keen to head further up the Yarra, especially on colder and windier days (maybe Richmond/Burnley station back to CBD?), so if anyone else is working in the CBD, spending their lunch times thinking of things to ask about or tinker with at Bogong/Paddys/other outdoor stores, why not drop me a line here! Its flat and slow moving water, but at least its a paddle and it still feels "away from the city".
