Has anyone ever invented a tent specifically for an up turned raft

Post by Davictor685 » Thu Apr 11, 2019 6:30 am

I don't actually hole far, I use my dirt bike and can carry 3 times as much as the average hiker. Weight isn't a huge concern for me. I'm looking for a free standing tent, or extra large bivy that fits easily on the bottom of an up turned boat. I've found plenty of bivys that satisfy, but it's be nice to have a little more head room. Have any of you any suggestions?

My wife and I have been experimenting with a DYI design we came up with.

We have one that goes under the packraft and we can use the back of the raft or the inside of the raft as our mattress,

I just designed one that uses a alps mountaineering 1 person tent as the starter and then gets modified to attach to the packraft gear tie downs so doesnt need tent stakes.

Let me know if your interested in photos and I'll post some
