Day Trip Info

Post by Yim » Wed May 07, 2014 5:53 pm

Hey, just looking for some info on a day trip, hike in-float out near Cody or Meeteetse in mid-June. Class II or less, as we are new. Any info would be appreciated!

You may want to try any one of these trips on Forrest McCarthy's packrafting guide to Jackson. I did the Buffalo Fork last year and that was a great trip. His description of a 5 mile hike in, I found was about 3 miles short as I logged 8 miles to where I put in...

Thanks for the info Infrastructure, I appreciate it. We are definitely throwing the Buffalo Fork on our list! However, we are traveling down to Meeteetse for a wedding in June and have limited time. Hike somewhere Saturday afternoon, float out Sunday. Was hoping someone had information on creeks or rivers in Meeteetse or Cody? (Shoshone River, Wood River, etc???) I suppose Forrest might, if he happened to read this post?
