Is anyone interested in partnering up, or do you have suggestions for trips in the Kenai/Hope/Homer area (or anywhere I can hitch in a day) from now (Aug 30) to Sep 14? I just finished a hike from Tok to the Richardson highway and a hike/float from Black Rapids to the Parks highway. My partners have headed back to the lower 48, but I'm here for two more weeks, looking for more packraft-based adventure.
I'm thinking about Hope to Homer, just because that's what I've got info on, and I'll be in Hope this weekend. (My info is Skurka's 4-Range trip report, but any info beyond that, or how to make it less schwacky if possible, would be much appreciated.)
Beyond that, I'd be interested in any advice and/or partners for shorter trips, rivers or bays; I'd love to see a breaching whale or an iceberg. I'm by no means an expert rafter; I've done more ocean kayaking than rafting before, and I know how to put in long hours on my feet and can tolerate some suffering. I've got a drysuit.
