Like Ed, I have an old trip (2003) posted over at my blog.

Some of you may be doing more planning/dreaming than paddling/walking, so here's something to help: ... ntain.html

It was 2004, I was 18, working in Bettles, and someone, maybe from California (Bay area?) recommended this route to me. I still have the route drawn on a map with little notes of key things to remember, in particular how to get to the hotsprings. Maybe he did it with you or just knew of your adventure through the Arrigetch. Anyway, he had an old, light kelty pack and likened sleeping on a foam ridgerest pad on cement to a mattress. I still can't get over the fact that he sleeps on a piece of plywood with a blanket on it at home. If you know him, you should tell him the 2004 gear bitch from Bettles Lodge says hi :)
