Cost to Coast - Scotland

Post by David.H » Fri Aug 31, 2012 2:54 am

I'm just back from a coast to coast trip (west to east) Starting near Oban and finishing at Spey Bay. Similar to one that a couple of others on here did in that it followed the Spey for the last section. But a different route from the start, also including Rannoch Moor and Loch Ericht. It could have been better. I'd planned a lot of peaks along the way but with mostly crappy weather was uninspired to go high in the end. More summits could have made it a really great trip but it was still fun. I put a report on my blog:

David,

How many miles/day did you do on River Spey and how hard were you working to cover that distance. I'm planning a trip from Loch Spey to Kieth in Oct.
